Just checking in
Just thought I'd add a new post... we are still waiting to hear anything from our adoption coordinator. It is comforting to know that we are on the website now. It is a little nerve-racking to not have a clue if we are being looked at, but I know that when the right mother chooses us, and we have our little one, this waiting will not seem so long.

Still waiting
Sorry that it has been awhile, but there has been no activity. We are still waiting to show up on the BCS website and have not heard anything more from our coordinator. I will try harder to keep you all informed by updating more frequently.

Let the Waiting Begin
Today we turned in our profile books and our letter to the birth mother to our adoption coordinator. It will take a few weeks, but eventually we will be on the Bethany Christian Services (BCS) website as a family waiting to adopt. As soon as I here that we are online, I'll let you all know. In the meantime, our coordinator can still present our profile to birth mothers. So here is where the waiting begins.
If you would like to learn more about the Domestic Infant Adoption process through BCS, or about BCS, here is the link to the Holland Office website.

Again, we want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers and ask for your continued support as we wait to be chosen.

Getting Started
As some of you may already know, Eric and I have started the adoption process for an infant through Bethany Christian Services, through their Domestic Infant Program. This decision was made after I could not have children and had to have surgery last April. In August 2008, we turned in our formal application and began the process of getting approved. Late in November, we were approved and began writing our profile that will be shared with birth mothers who have chosen life for their unborn child. On Monday (2-9-2009) we will be meeting with our adoption coordinator to have the profile approved and at that time we will wait to be chosen.
For those of you who were asked to be involved in this process, we want to thank you again for your help. To our Family and Friends, thank you for being so supportive of our decision.
