Way Overdue Update!!!

Okay... so I have been very busy and actually kinda forgot about this blog... oops...

So On May 3rd our wonderful son Niklas William was born and we were so blessed to be able to be at the hospital and care for him there until he was released on May 6. He is a very healthy 5 month old now and we are excited to be in the final stretch of the adoption! Just a couple months and he will be officially ours!!!!

Hopefully the wait is over!

As of this week, Eric and I have been chosen by a wonderful birthmother to adopt her unborn child. We are praying that everything goes smoothly. For those of you I have not personally notified, I am sorry... finding out has been a little different than we thought, as we met the birthmother just hours before I flew to Atlanta to visit my brother and his family.

1 Year Down and Still Waiting

So it's been officially over a year of waiting and still no news... this realization is harder on some days than on others. We know that our Coordinator is doing all that she can to show our profile to perspective mothers as much as possible. At this time, our profile has traveled to another office to try and see if they have any leads. I know that in time, our little one will come and we will wonder why we thought that the wait was so long... when really it hasn't been too long... at least not yet ;)

Overdue update... still no news

Well, when I started this blog I had high hopes that I would be updating it continuously. Unfortunately, I haven't done too well about updating it due to the lack of activity on the adoption process. At this time, we are still waiting for any news. We haven't met with any birth mothers yet, but are hopeful that this year will be more productive. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.
